Kuwait’s CITRA Launches “My Numbers” Service on Sahel App to Protect Telecom User Privacy

KUWAIT CITY — The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) of the State of Kuwait has launched the "My Numbers" service via Sahel, the unified government application for electronic services, in coordination with licensed telecommunications operators across the country.

The regulatory initiative allows all citizens and expatriate residents to directly view, monitor, and audit all mobile numbers and telecommunications subscriptions registered under their Civil IDs across different domestic service providers.

According to an official statement issued via the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the service is designed to strengthen digital privacy, foster transparency, and elevate consumer awareness by enabling users to independently verify the accuracy and integrity of their personal telecom records. By centralizing line verification within the unified Sahel platform, CITRA aims to prevent unauthorized SIM card registrations and curb identity misuse.

CITRA urged all mobile subscribers across the State of Kuwait to log into the Sahel application and review their registered telecom portfolios to ensure data accuracy and protect their digital identities
