ECAE Launches AI and Fab Labs Summer Camp in Abu Dhabi for Students of Determination
ABU DHABI — The Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) has launched its 2026 summer camp dedicated to Students of Determination under the theme "Family, Inclusion, and Artificial Intelligence." Held from July 27 to July 30, 2026, at the college's campus in Abu Dhabi, the initiative provided interactive learning experiences engineered to build creative problem-solving, digital skills, and lifelong learning capabilities.
Organized in alignment with the UAE's Year of the Family, the four-day program welcomed 30 participants divided into two tailored cohorts: children aged 7 to 11 years and youth aged 12 to 18 years. The camp focused on equipping Students of Determination with practical exposure to emerging digital tools, encouraging active collaboration between students, their families, and specialized educators.
The hands-on curriculum was delivered across two core modules:
Artificial Intelligence Workshops: Hands-on introductory sessions demystifying generative AI tools, machine learning concepts, and real-world digital applications through simplified, accessible exercises.
Digital Fab Labs Prototyping: Practical engineering activities allowing students to transform creative ideas into physical prototypes using CAD software, digital fabrication tools, and interactive design methods.

The camp forms part of ECAE's wider institutional strategy to expand inclusive teaching methodologies, strengthen professional educator training, and deploy adaptive technologies across the national education ecosystem.
