Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Explores Big Data and AI Infrastructure in New York Talks with Scale AI CEO Francis deSouza
NEW YORK — Kuwait’s Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, conducted high level discussions with Scale AI Chief Executive Officer Francis deSouza at Kuwait’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The bilateral engagement centered on evaluating enterprise artificial intelligence architectures, high density data pipeline engineering, and advanced cognitive platforms to accelerate digital transformation milestones across Kuwait’s public and commercial sectors. During the meeting, the delegations explored strategic mechanisms to deploy sovereign data infrastructure and advanced analytical models across key government ministries and industrial verticals, while establishing structured knowledge transfer frameworks to train Kuwaiti software engineers and data scientists in modern model refinement.
The technology discussions formed part of an expansive bilateral diplomatic track spearheaded by the Crown Prince in New York. Across concurrent diplomatic sessions, Sheikh Sabah Khaled held formal talks with Hungarian President Andras Baka on economic and trade cooperation, reviewed bilateral development ties with Union of the Comoros President Azali Assoumani, and met with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Barham Salih to reinforce Kuwait’s humanitarian relief mechanisms.
The meeting with Scale AI leadership was attended by senior Kuwaiti cabinet and diplomatic officials, including Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Tareq Al-Bannai, and Director of His Highness the Crown Prince’s Office Major General Ahmad Al-Duie.
