UAE Opens AI Award Nominations Across 5 New Categories
The UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transactions has opened nominations for the third edition of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Award, introducing five categories focused on the use of agentic AI across government, business, research and leadership.
The award aims to encourage competition in the adoption of agentic AI and recognise organisations and individuals using the technology to improve government performance, develop public services and enhance customer experience and quality of life.
The third edition supports the UAE’s wider ambition to establish agentic AI as a core partner in government development and future policymaking.
The initiative also aligns with government directives to deploy agentic AI across 50% of government sectors, services and operations, with the aim of increasing productivity, improving efficiency and developing more resilient and future-ready operating models.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, said in an Arabic-language statement that the UAE Government is adopting a comprehensive approach to accelerate technological transformation and expand the use of agentic AI across work and daily life.
He said the next phase would position agentic AI as an active partner in completing tasks and supporting national talent in service development.
Al Olama described the award’s third edition as a new national benchmark for excellence in agentic AI, recognising models that transform the technology from a digital tool into an intelligent assistant capable of generating measurable impact across services and operations.
The five categories are:
Agentic AI-Powered Service Excellence, recognising entities that use agentic AI to improve service efficiency and customer experience;
Agentic AI Solutions Developed in the UAE, honouring locally developed applications that demonstrate advanced national capabilities;
Best Public-Private Partnership in Agentic AI, recognising collaborations that produce innovative digital-transformation solutions;
Scientific Research in Agentic AI, rewarding research contributions that advance knowledge and practical applications; and
AI Leader, recognising individuals who lead the adoption of innovative AI solutions, strengthen organisational capabilities and promote an AI culture.
Federal and local government entities, semi-government organisations, private companies, academic institutions and individuals may apply through the award’s official website.
The UAE Artificial Intelligence Award received more than 540 nominations across its first two editions, reflecting growing interest in applying AI to public services and national competitiveness.
