ABU DHABI — Active mobile telecommunications subscriptions in the United Arab Emirates reached 214 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants in 2025, recording a 5.4% year-on-year increase from 203 subscriptions per 100 people in 2024, according to the UAE Digital Economy Statistics 2025 report released by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
The official regulatory report details universal digital adoption and sustained telecommunications infrastructure expansion across the country:
Mobile Subscriptions: Expanded to 214 per 100 residents (up 5.4% from 203 in 2024).
High-Speed Fixed Broadband: Reached 43 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants, marking a 4.8% increase compared to 41 subscriptions in 2024.
Fixed-Line Subscriptions: Maintained structural stability at 21 subscriptions per 100 residents, matching 2024 levels.
Internet User Base: The total number of internet users in the UAE grew by 2.9% to reach 9.47 million individuals in 2025, up from 9.20 million in 2024.
Digital Access Penetration: Population-wide internet penetration and home computer access both achieved a benchmark 100%.
The report also highlighted tariff stability across retail and enterprise telecom services throughout 2025:
Fixed Telephony Tariffs: Remained stable at AED 39 per month for residential individual subscribers and AED 95 per month for enterprise and institutional clients.
Fixed Broadband Tariffs: Maintained at standard baseline rates of AED 69 per month for entry-level consumer packages and AED 375 per month for enterprise packages.
