Zain KSA Rolls Out Saudi Arabia’s 1st 5G+ Network Powered by 600 MHz Spectrum
Zain KSA has announced the commercial rollout of 5G-Advanced (5G+), becoming the first telecommunications company in Saudi Arabia to deliver the next-generation technology to consumers. The initial deployment covers Riyadh and Jeddah, utilizing the 600 MHz spectrum alongside other frequency bands to maximize network reach and capabilities.
The 5G+ upgrade promises a significantly enhanced connectivity experience, featuring higher speeds, ultra-low latency, and greater overall network reliability. Consumers can expect robust performance across high-demand applications such as ultra-HD content streaming, cloud gaming, video calling, and emerging AI-powered services. Additionally, the technology delivers superior indoor coverage, greater stability in high-density environments, and improved battery efficiency for 5G+ compatible devices.

The new network builds upon Zain KSA’s previous achievement of launching Saudi Arabia's first 5G Standalone (5G SA) network. By enhancing mobility performance and upload efficiency, 5G-Advanced lays the critical groundwork for futuristic communication standards, including Voice over New Radio (VoNR) and Reduced Capability (RedCap) technologies.
This rollout aligns with the operator's broader strategy to cultivate an innovation-driven digital ecosystem. As the Kingdom accelerates its digital transformation, the widespread commercialization of 5G+ is expected to serve as a pivotal enabler for the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and the rapidly expanding digital economy.
