Abu Dhabi to Launch Tamm 5.0 Super App at GITEX Global as Emirate Advances AED 13 Billion AI-Native Government Mandate

UAE

ABU DHABI — The Department of Government Enablement (DGE) of Abu Dhabi has announced plans to officially unveil Tamm 5.0, the next generation of the emirate’s unified government services super app, during GITEX Global 2026 at Expo City Dubai running from December 7 to 11.

Speaking at the Ai Everything summit in Abu Dhabi, Ruba Al Hassan, Director General of Strategic Affairs and Future Foresight at the DGE, confirmed that the forthcoming major release will make public services increasingly intelligent, context aware, and proactive. While precise operational feature architectures remain under wraps ahead of the December exhibition, the deployment represents the next phase in shifting civic interactions from reactive transaction filing to an autonomous model that anticipates resident, enterprise, and visitor requirements before they arise.

The platform has recorded exponential citizen adoption over the preceding twelve months. Official DGE operational metrics confirm that Tamm currently serves approximately 4.7 million users, reflecting an addition of more than 1.5 million users in a single year, with approximately ninety percent of all civic transactions resolved within twenty four hours.

The upcoming release builds directly upon cognitive foundations established in October 2025 with the launch of Tamm 4.0. That iteration introduced AutoGov, a proactive automation engine that executes recurring administrative tasks such as trade license renewals, municipal utility disbursements, and clinical appointments based on verified user preferences. Version 4.0 also deployed the Tamm AI Assistant, integrated computer vision for document processing, bilingual voice interfaces, and personalized regulatory alert feeds, aggregating over 1,100 public and private services across ninety partner entities including the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and digital banking platform Wio Bank.

Tamm serves as the frontline civic interface of the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025–2027, a comprehensive AED 13 billion ($3.54 billion) capital deployment designed to transform Abu Dhabi into the world’s first fully artificial intelligence native government by 2027. The strategy mandates the complete transition of administrative operations onto sovereign cloud infrastructure and total process automation across all executive departments. Al Hassan emphasized that institutional execution remains disciplined, noting that enterprise adoption requires transparent algorithmic governance, human accountability, and user trust to ensure cognitive systems operate responsibly.
