Ajman AI Program Targets 100 Initiatives Across 8 Vision 2030 Pillars
AJMAN — The Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program is moving into its first implementation phase with a roadmap focused on institutional readiness, governance and the launch of initial AI initiatives across government entities.
Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council and Leader of the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program, chaired the program’s second meeting, attended by Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary-General of the Ajman Executive Council.
During the meeting, Sheikh Humaid reviewed the first-phase roadmap, which includes completing the program’s institutional framework, launching its initial initiatives and monitoring implementation through clearly defined performance indicators.
The wider program aims to launch 100 initiatives spanning the eight pillars of Ajman Vision 2030, “Ajman for People,” with the goal of accelerating artificial intelligence adoption across government and supporting the emirate’s future readiness, quality of life and competitiveness.
Sheikh Humaid said that the program is intended to use AI to improve government performance and service quality through a unified framework that strengthens coordination between government entities.
The approach is based on three central principles: people first, governance before scale, and prioritising initiatives with the greatest impact on society.
The meeting also reviewed the program’s institutional operating model, which is built around an integrated enablement and governance structure designed to support government entities, improve execution efficiency and strengthen transparency and accountability in AI deployment.
Participants discussed a methodology for identifying government priorities and developing initiatives according to clear governance and risk-management standards before moving into implementation.
The framework is designed to ensure that projects are operationally ready and capable of delivering measurable and sustainable outcomes rather than remaining limited to experimental AI pilots.
Ajman’s program reflects a broader shift across UAE governments towards structured adoption of artificial intelligence, with increasing focus on governance, measurable public value and the integration of AI into government operations.
The next phase will centre on turning the first set of initiatives into operational projects while establishing the institutional foundations needed to scale AI responsibly across Ajman’s government ecosystem.
