Riyadh-Based Gaming Studio Takahouse Secures $1.5M from Impact46 to Expand Social Mobile Titles
RIYADH — Riyadh-headquartered mobile gaming startup Takahouse has secured $1.5 million in fresh funding from prominent Saudi venture capital firm Impact46 to accelerate product development, expand its pipeline of interactive mobile titles, and scale its presence as a regional game developer and publisher.
Founded in 2018 by Salman S. Nasser, Takahouse focuses on developing mobile games and interactive applications that integrate real-time social communication into gameplay mechanics, positioning community interaction as a core pillar rather than a secondary feature.
The studio's flagship title, WhistGame—an interactive card game launched in 2021—has accumulated more than 140,000 registered users to date and surpassed 100,000 downloads on Google Play. The newly secured capital will enable the studio to leverage player telemetry and retention insights gained from WhistGame to build a multi-title portfolio, reducing dependence on a single release while engineering new intellectual property tailored for Middle Eastern and global audiences.
