RIYADH — Saudi digital enabler and telecommunications leader stc Group has been awarded the prestigious umlaut Best in Test Award, securing the highest overall network performance score across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The certification, issued by global engineering and digital benchmarking specialist umlaut (part of Accenture), reflects rigorous independent field testing and comprehensive crowdsourced telemetry evaluating mobile network reliability, broadband data throughput, voice call quality, and latency across major metropolitan centers, transit corridors, and regional governorates.

The award recognizes stc’s sustained capital expenditure into digital telecommunications infrastructure under Saudi Vision 2030. Over recent quarters, the operator has spearheaded extensive rollouts of 5G Standalone (5G SA) architectures, fiber to the home (FTTH) expansion, and macro site modernization, ensuring uninterrupted digital connectivity for enterprise, government, and consumer segments.

Independent testing frameworks established by umlaut assess real world consumer quality through comprehensive drive tests and advanced data analysis across hundreds of commercial mobile networks internationally. In achieving the top national composite score, stc outpaced domestic peers across critical performance indicators, maintaining superior download and upload consistency, faster call setup times, and minimal service drop rates.
