Tuwaiq Academy and NVIDIA Launch Middle East’s First AI Innovation Center in Riyadh
RIYADH — Tuwaiq Academy has officially launched the Middle East’s first AI Innovation Center in strategic collaboration with NVIDIA. The inauguration took place during a ceremony at the academy's headquarters in Riyadh, attended by executive leadership from NVIDIA, industry experts, and ecosystem partners.
The facility represents the first center of its kind in the region and only the second globally established between the two entities. Designed to accelerate Saudi Arabia’s artificial intelligence capabilities, the center focuses on empowering national talent through hands-on technical training, advanced research tools, and specialized skill-building in emerging technologies.
The center will prioritize practical applications, with a major focus on developing natural language processing (NLP) solutions and artificial intelligence models. By pairing local developers with specialized technical resources and experts from both Tuwaiq Academy and NVIDIA, the initiative establishes a direct pipeline to build production-ready applications tailored for enterprise and public sector needs.
A key objective of the program is certifying local talent as globally recognized AI ambassadors. The curriculum provides internationally accredited credentials designed to meet market demand for high-level technical expertise across domestic and international labor markets.
"Our collaboration with NVIDIA reflects Tuwaiq Academy's commitment to developing outstanding national capabilities in artificial intelligence through professional initiatives delivered alongside leading global technology pioneers," Abdulaziz Alhammadi, Chief Executive Officer of Tuwaiq Academy, said in a statement. "Our training methodology is centered on practical, industry-oriented application to solidify Saudi Arabia's technological leadership."
