Vodafone Lifts VodafoneThree Cost Synergy Target to £1 Billion by 2032 to Triple Operating Free Cash Flow

LONDON — Telecommunications operator Vodafone Group has officially upgraded the annual cost reduction target for its British operating subsidiary, VodafoneThree, lifting expected yearly operational synergies to £1 billion ($1.32 billion) by fiscal year 2032.

The revised projection marks a notable increase from the previous efficiency target of £700 million originally slated for delivery by 2030. Management stated that rapid post merger integration progress and operational visibility across network consolidation workflows have bolstered confidence in the operational trajectory of the combined British mobile unit, which was formed through the merger of Vodafone UK and rival mobile carrier Three UK.

Group Chief Executive Officer Margherita Della Valle affirmed that following a robust operational start, the group possesses stronger conviction regarding medium term synergies. The group identified VodafoneThree as an anchor catalyst to deliver mid term group wide ambitions of double digit organic growth in adjusted free cash flow, projecting that the British business will more than triple its operating free cash flow by fiscal year 2032 relative to levels recorded during fiscal year 2025.

The upward synergy revision follows Vodafone’s strategic transaction in May, when it finalized a £4.3 billion buyout agreement to acquire the remaining 49 percent equity stake held by joint venture partner CK Hutchison. The transaction granted Vodafone full sole ownership over the United Kingdom’s largest mobile network operator just twelve months post inception, enabling accelerated integration across retail store estates, legacy core IT networks, and dual radio access infrastructure.
