DEWA’s 28th WETEX to Spotlight AI and Robotics in Occupational Safety at DWTC Health and Safety Hub

UAE

DUBAI — Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will convene the 28th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from October 20 to 22, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

A primary pillar of the upcoming exhibition is the dedicated Health and Safety Hub, which will host the Health and Safety Conference alongside specialized industry displays examining advanced occupational safety architectures across educational institutions, residential spaces, and critical industrial workplaces. The specialized summit unites multinational executives, environmental safety directors, and technical specialists to address emergency readiness, behavioral safety protocols, and the integration of emerging technologies to mitigate operational risk.

Strategic sessions will evaluate the operational fusion of cognitive computing with frontline safety procedures. Key panel agendas include practical sessions on building bespoke artificial intelligence safety architectures, transparency and ethical governance in automated compliance, workforce psychological safety within algorithmically augmented workplaces, and leveraging predictive analytics to shift institutional health, safety, and environment protocols from reactive documentation toward preventative intervention. Industrial panels will further examine frontline robotics deployments and data driven executive decision frameworks.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, stated that the conference directly advances the high level social and economic mandates established under the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031, which aim to cement the UAE as an international benchmark for quality of life. Al Tayer affirmed that the exhibition provides an essential platform to showcase frontier innovations that harden safety baselines, protect frontline personnel, and safeguard critical public utility assets.
