Robo.ai Appoints Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi to Lead Neurovia AI
Robo.ai Inc. has appointed H.E. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, former President of INTERPOL, as Chairman of its subsidiary Neurovia AI, strengthening the company’s governance and security oversight as it develops sovereign artificial intelligence infrastructure in the UAE and wider GCC.
The appointment took effect immediately following Neurovia AI’s integration into Robo.ai, a Nasdaq-listed technology company trading under the ticker AIIO.
Al-Raisi served as President of INTERPOL from 2021 to 2025, becoming the first person from the Middle East to lead the international policing organisation in its century-long history. Robo.ai said he brings more than four decades of experience spanning public-service digital transformation, national data compliance, cross-border digital risk management and security governance.
As Chairman, Al-Raisi will lead Neurovia AI’s board and help align the company’s development with the UAE’s national artificial intelligence strategy.
His responsibilities will include strengthening security governance, guiding compliance and long-term strategy, supporting engagement with government and enterprise customers and advising the company as it expands internationally.
The appointment reflects Neurovia AI’s focus on developing enterprise AI infrastructure and security frameworks for deployments involving sensitive data and critical digital systems.
“Data infrastructure is the cornerstone of the artificial intelligence era, and building this foundation requires high standards and responsible security governance,” Al-Raisi said.
“I look forward to working with the Board and the management team to establish a robust and compliant data security framework and to support the sound development of the region’s AI industry.”
Neurovia AI describes itself as an enterprise AI infrastructure and cybersecurity provider specialising in data optimisation and security frameworks for advanced AI deployments. It operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Robo.ai.
The appointment places security, compliance and sovereign control at the centre of the company’s regional positioning as governments and enterprises across the Gulf increase investment in AI systems, data infrastructure and critical digital services.
Robo.ai said Al-Raisi’s experience would support Neurovia AI’s engagement with public-sector and enterprise customers while strengthening its ability to address the governance requirements associated with national-scale AI infrastructure.
