Saudi Arabia Launches AI Tool to Analyze 7,500 National Indicators
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning has launched the beta version of INSAIGHTS, an agentic artificial intelligence tool designed to transform questions about the Kingdom’s economy and society into immediate data-driven insights.
The tool is integrated into the Data Saudi Platform, the Kingdom’s unified reference for economic and social data, and draws on more than 7,500 national indicators.
Announced on July 13, 2026, INSAIGHTS is intended to simplify the way decision-makers, researchers, analysts and members of the public interact with national data. Users can submit questions through the platform and receive instant insights and analyses based on the available datasets.
The launch represents a shift from conventional dashboard-based data exploration towards a more conversational and accessible model powered by agentic AI.
Rather than requiring users to manually locate, clean and compare multiple datasets, the tool is designed to interpret questions and identify relevant information across the Data Saudi Platform.
This could reduce the technical expertise and preparation time traditionally required to analyse complex economic and social data, while making official information more accessible to a wider group of users.
The Ministry described the launch as an important milestone in the development of Data Saudi and in the Kingdom’s broader efforts to support reliable, evidence-based decision-making.
By providing faster access to national indicators, the platform can support policy analysis, academic research, market assessment and the evaluation of social and economic trends.
The initiative also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s wider digital-government and data strategies, which seek to strengthen the use of advanced technologies across public administration and improve access to government information.
The beta phase will allow the Ministry to assess how users interact with INSAIGHTS and refine the platform’s analytical and conversational capabilities.
The launch comes as Saudi Arabia continues to expand the role of artificial intelligence in government services, planning and national development under Saudi Vision 2030.
By combining agentic AI with a centralised national data platform, INSAIGHTS could help shorten the path between a policy question and the evidence required to address it.
