Invest Qatar Partners with Silicon Valley’s Brain Co to Scale Applied AI Deployments and Establish Flagship Doha Hub

DOHA — The Investment Promotion Agency Qatar, operating as Invest Qatar, has established a strategic partnership with Silicon Valley based applied artificial intelligence company Brain Co to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption, fast track public sector digital transformation, and consolidate the country’s standing as an international deep tech innovation hub.

The alliance establishes an institutional framework enabling Invest Qatar and Brain Co to jointly structure, develop, and operationalize applied artificial intelligence pilot initiatives across sovereign and commercial stakeholders. Aligned directly with the targets of Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy (NDS3) and the National AI Strategy, the collaborative roadmap focuses on converting theoretical cognitive capabilities into production grade applications tailored to high priority national verticals, including energy infrastructure, public healthcare, financial services, and regulatory administration.

Under the partnership agreement, Invest Qatar will facilitate Brain Co’s regional expansion by connecting company leadership with ministerial decision makers, regulatory authorities, and enterprise operators, integrating the firm directly into Qatar’s domestic research and technology ecosystem. A fundamental pillar of the joint initiative focuses on human capital development, establishing structured knowledge transfer frameworks, technical apprenticeships, and capacity building programs to equip Qatari engineers and data specialists with advanced applied artificial intelligence skillsets.

The engagement expands upon Brain Co’s growing operational footprint within the state. Following its announcement at Web Summit Qatar 2026 to establish a flagship regional office in Doha, the enterprise has demonstrated tangible public sector deployments, including partnering with the Ministry of Municipality to deploy the world’s first artificial intelligence powered building permit system.

His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Qatar, stated that the partnership reflects the state’s continuous commitment to mobilizing advanced technologies as catalysts for economic diversification and long term productivity. Sheikh Ali emphasized that partnering with cutting edge Silicon Valley innovators accelerates the incubation of local talent, cultivating a future ready workforce capable of leading in an increasingly cognitive global economy.

Omid Raghimi, President of Qatar Business at Brain Co, highlighted that delivering mission critical systems across municipal and energy environments demonstrates the transformative potential of applied cognitive tools when engineered directly alongside national institutions. Raghimi affirmed that the company’s dedicated mandate in Doha centers on eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks, unlocking key NDS3 economic benchmarks, and fielding robust artificial intelligence systems that generate measurable improvements in daily civic life.
