M42’s Healthpoint Partners with Proximie and AWS to Deploy Real-Time AI Surgical Intelligence Across Abu Dhabi Operating Theatres

UAE

ABU DHABI — Multi specialty hospital Healthpoint, an operating asset of Abu Dhabi sovereign healthcare conglomerate M42, has formed a strategic clinical technology partnership with global surgical intelligence platform Proximie to deploy real time artificial intelligence across its main operating theatres in Abu Dhabi.

The clinical deployment introduces anticipatory healthcare architectures into acute perioperative settings by establishing ambient intelligence across all surgical suites at Healthpoint. Supported by the secure cloud hosting and machine learning foundation of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Proximie’s proprietary models are engineered to passively track, contextualize, and evaluate each successive surgical phase throughout the operating day, generating predictive insights that forecast procedure progression, identify emerging scheduling bottlenecks, and recommend optimal downstream workflows in real time.

Operating rooms historically represent one of the most capital intensive and schedule sensitive environments within acute hospital networks, where surgical deviations frequently result in cascading delays, prolonged patient wait times, and unutilized theater capacity. By ambiently cataloging surgical milestones as procedures unfold without demanding manual clinical data entry, the intelligence platform equips administrative coordinators and perioperative staff with dynamic visibility over live surgical lists. This data informed orchestration enables theatre managers to anticipate logistical bottlenecks hours in advance, dynamically rebalance nursing teams, and make agile capacity determinations that maximize operating room throughput.

Omar Al Naqbi, Chief Executive Officer of Healthpoint, stated that the partnership reflects the hospital’s mandate to integrate data driven decision support into core clinical workflows. Al Naqbi affirmed that delivering surgical teams a real time, predictive perspective of operative activity enables surgeons and support personnel to anticipate operational obstacles earlier, coordinate multidisciplinary patient pathways more effectively, and execute daily theater schedules with higher clinical and operational confidence.

Dr. Nadine Hachach Haram, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Proximie, noted that operating environments continuously generate dense, high value clinical data streams that historically remained uncaptured or isolated in post hoc administrative reviews. Dr. Hachach Haram emphasized that the surgical intelligence system transforms fragmented operative signals into continuous actionable telemetry, enabling clinical teams to predict how scheduled cases will unfold and mobilize the appropriate clinical resources to the precise theater at the ideal moment.

The initiative advances M42’s broader strategic ambition to position Abu Dhabi as an international proving ground for applied artificial intelligence in clinical medicine, transitioning healthcare operations from reactive administrative models to predictive, ambient, and intelligent operational ecosystems.
