Orange Egypt and Marakez Partner to Deploy Smart Digital Infrastructure and FTTH Across Four Flagship Mixed Use Projects
CAIRO — Telecommunications operator Orange Egypt has formalized a strategic partnership with mixed use real estate developer Marakez to design, construct, and operate advanced digital telecommunications infrastructure and smart city management systems across four of the developer’s primary residential and commercial assets in Egypt.
Under the commercial framework, Orange Egypt will deploy end to end high speed connectivity, high capacity fiber networks, and digital surveillance platforms across District 5 in New Cairo, Aeon Towers in 6th of October City, Mall of Arabia, and the coastal master planned resort development Ramla situated on Egypt’s North Coast.
The technical rollouts are customized to the operational demands of each property:
At Ramla on the Mediterranean coast, Orange Egypt will implement comprehensive Triple Play services, bundling ultra high speed broadband, fixed voice communications, and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) across residential units, while installing public wireless coverage across beach zones and dedicated connectivity for hospitality and commercial units.
At District 5 in New Cairo, the operator will provide residential units with full Triple Play capabilities alongside dedicated enterprise fiber connections for corporate offices and retail storefronts.
At Aeon Towers in West Cairo, Orange Egypt will deploy high density Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks, establishing scalable digital infrastructure designed to meet elevated data requirements for tower residents and businesses.
At Mall of Arabia, the scope covers the implementation of an intelligent closed circuit television (CCTV) security surveillance architecture for the retail complex’s initial phase, paired with carrier grade public Wi-Fi infrastructure for visitors.
Mohamed Shebl, Chief Business Officer at Orange Egypt, stated that the collaboration reinforces the operator’s position as an integrated enterprise technology enabler constructing foundational digital infrastructure for modern urban developments.
